Project with the organisation Environement-Vie-Eau

The 3-year project aims to improve the nutritional status of children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women in the department of Pikine.

To this end, different aspects will be addressed with the aim of achieving three key results:

1. Revitalization and improvement of the functioning of community and clinical prevention and management of malnutrition in the department of Pikine. Along with the establishment of Food Centres for Recovery and Nutritional Awakening (FARNE) to care for cases of children detected with Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM).
2. The promotion of adequate nutritional behaviour in the population of the department of Pikine.
3. Strengthen the commitment and coordination and synergy of community actors in favour of nutrition.

And finally, to promote the consumption of diversified, healthy and nutritious food among the population of the department of Pikine.
